Welcome to our guide on how to edit payment amounts for upcoming invoices in the Pay Now section of our platform! We're here to help you make any changes you need quickly and easily.

To get started, simply select the contract type for the invoice you want to edit:

You can also edit invoices in bulk:

📌 Traditional Contracts

✔️ Step 1: To edit the base compensation amount individually, you need to go to the Pay Now section, find the invoice you want to modify, and click on the pencil icon in the action buttons.

✔️ Step 2: When you have clicked on the edit icon, the following window will be displayed, and you'll be able to edit the value of the base compensation.
You can use dots as decimal separators, if required.

Once you've made your changes, click "Save" to update the payment amount.

⚠️ Remember that there are certain rules that limit the amount you can pay per contract. These are the limits for Traditional contracts:

📌 Pay Per Task Contracts

✔️ Step 1: To edit the compensation amount of invoices related to this type of contract, go to the "Pay per task" tab of the Pay Now section, find the invoice you want to modify, and click on the pencil icon in the action buttons.

✔️ Step 2: When you have clicked on the edit icon, the following window will be displayed, and you'll be able to edit the value of the base compensation.

In this window, you will be able to visualize the value assigned to each task or unit of time worked on that contract where it says "Amount", and you have two options to edit the amount to pay:

  1. You can put the number of tasks or time units worked by your worker in the field called "Total Task worked". (e.g. if the amount is $5 USD per task, and the worker completed 10 tasks, their payment will be of $50 USD).
After filling out this field and clicking "Save", the platform will recalculate the total amount to be paid on that invoice.

  2. You can simply enter the exact amount you want to pay in the field called “Total payment amount” (you can use dots as decimal separators).
The platform will calculate exactly how many tasks or units of time worked corresponds to the value you want to pay after you click on “Save”.

⚠️ Remember that, for this type of contract, the payment amount varies based on the work delivered by the worker. It may be measured in hours, days, tasks, classes, and other options available, which is defined when the contract is created.

📌 Result Driven Contracts

Once the contract is signed, the agreed amount cannot be edited for legal reasons. If the scope of expected results changes during the project, both parties must sign an amendment. Any changes made without an amendment can have legal consequences.

⚠️ Keep in mind that the payment of workers with this type of contract is based on the results they deliver, not the tasks they do. The contract covers limited projects, milestones, or deliverables and requires a flat fee agreed upon upfront to be included in the invoice.

Our team is here to support you and provide guidance if you need to make any changes. Please review your Results Driven contracts and contact us if you have any doubts or questions. We are committed to providing you with a positive experience.

Editing Multiple Payments ⚙️

✔️ Step 1: To edit several payments at once, select the checkboxes of the payments you want to edit.

…or use the general selection checkbox, which will select all the invoices in a page. This allows you to quickly select multiple invoices without having to check them off one by one. You can also select payments for more than one type of contract at once.

✔️ Step 2: Then, click on the "Multiple payment editing" button located at the top of the Pay Now section.

⚠️ You will see an important set of rules to keep in mind. After reviewing them, the Excel template file to edit payments will be automatically downloaded.

✔️ Step 3: Open the file and modify the payment amounts, payment dates, or add extra payments as needed. It might be necessary to enable editing the file.

❗ Note that there are three worksheets in the file, one for each type of contract.

⚠️ Please keep in mind that when adding extra payments, any new entries made here will create additional extra payments, rather than modifying existing ones. Therefore, it is important to exercise caution and avoid unintentionally entering new extra payments.

✔️ Step 4: Once you've made the necessary changes, simply save the file and upload it back into the platform.

If any errors are found in the file, an option will appear to download a feedback file.

This feedback file will contain notes about the errors made. You must correct them and upload this same file.

❗ Note that the changes made may take a few minutes to be processed. If you encounter any errors in the presented amounts, it is recommended to wait for a few minutes and refresh the page. If errors persists, you can contact us for support.

⚠️ Things to keep in mind:

  • On each sheet, you'll find two sections of columns: one that is editable and another that is not editable.

  • It's necessary to ensure that each cell in the file follows the correct format, such as entering numbers in numeric fields and text in text fields.

  • If a contract was created without enabling commissions, you won't be able to add them now unless an amendment to the contract is made.

  • It's crucial to adhere to the rules regarding allowed amounts and dates.

Congratulations, you have made it! 🚀
